Ahh texting, an invention in mobile communication that has made quick exchanges of information both fast and convenient. While texting has become one of the most welcome advances in technology, it has also made already despondent teenagers that much more consumed with their electronics.
The Onion, known for its satire news reports, released a video today entitled, “Brain-Dead Teen, Only Capable Of Rolling Eyes And Texting, To Be Euthanized” The fictional report covers a 13-year old girl named Caitlin Teagart who is engrossed in her mobile device and described as “completely unresponsive” by her parents.
With teen texting hitting new highs, for example, one recent report suggests that the average teenager sends as many as 3,417 text messages a month, the image of a teenager zoned out on their phone has become quite commonplace in today’s society.
As usually, there are a slew of people out there who actually think the video is real, so let us remind you that the video is completely made in jest and no actual teenagers were or will be euthanized.
