Nokia Asha 302 Hands-on Review

Nokia Asha 302 Hands-on Review
The Nokia Asha 302 is the full QWERTY business class addition to the extremely affordable Asha lineup based on Series 40. It actually managed to impress us with its looks resembling the good old Nokia E series (or the ASha 303 if you want a more recent example), but the Asha 302 is completely plastic and you can feel this when you hold it.
The Nokia Asha 302 has got a 2.4-inch QVGA screen and it is powered by a fast, 1GHz processor. The physical keyboards is a welcome addition for heavy texters, but we found the keys to be a bit too small for our taste. The keys themselves have nice travel and feel to them, but it is just their size that we wish was a bit larger.

Software-wise, the Asha 302 is an important milestone as it’s the first device that supports Microsoft Exchange at such a low price. This means that you can easily sync your work email and calendar accounts and take care of business on the go.

The device is till a feature phone, though, powered by Series 40. It has no Nokia Maps, which is a pity but it does offer a cloud-accelerated browser that compresses web pages so you can access them quicker. In reality, we found it overcomperessed our website and some images didn’t show up at all.

Connectivity-wise, you get 3G and Wi-Fi, and support for microSD cards. Overall, the Nokia Asha 302 brings enough value for its price of just around $127 (95 euro). How do yo like it?
