HTC has been in the game with Windows Phone 7 since day one with devices like the HTC HD 7, and more recently, the HTC 7 Pro, but it appears that we’re in store for yet another one.

The latest one involved in the mix comes from XDA.cn which provided a leaked rendering of what seems to be an none other than the HTC Ignite. Without question, the dead center start button clearly indicates its flavor for Microsoft’s new mobile platform, but some discrepancies regarding its specs would make anyone allude to it as being a fake. Specifically, it’s noted as being packed with an 800MHz processor and resistive touchscreen – which naturally doesn’t fit with Microsoft’s Chassis 1 requirements.

But before it’s completely thrown out the door as being a fake, it’s worth noting that UK retailer, King of Gadgets, has the “HTC Ignite” listed as a model on their site. Aside from that, the other rumored specs include a 3.7” WVGA display, 5-megapixel camera, and 512MB of RAM. And as it stands now, the HTC Ignite is believed to be on track for a “mid-2011” release.
