Microsoft to dump Internet Explorer 6

Microsoft has elevated its efforts to urge people to shun the use of Internet Explorer 6-a decade after the browser was launched. The use of this browser is already on decline and now with Microsoft initiatives, IE6 will soon get dumped, sources reported.

According to the sources, the involvement of Microsoft has prompted many users to switch on to newer, better supported browsers. In fact, the software giant has introduced a unique way to prohibit its use. It has dedicated a website, ie6countdown.com. to gauge the drop in the usage of Internet Explorer 6. Moreover, the site is also pushing the visitors to encourage their friends and acquaintances to shift from IE6.

It has been cited that IE6 was witnessing some problems since last year which resulted in a sharp fall.  In some Asiatic countries it was prone to the piracy attacks.

So, the time has come to upgrade your browser and say goodbye to IE6.
