Those of you who love to see hardware being abused (physically) as much as possible for a proper review, should be interested to see this video of Nokia's N8 going through all sorts of torture just to prove its sturdiness.
The video was first released on YouTube. It contains over 6 minutes of heavy-duty abuse of the N8, including scratching it with keys, stabbing and cutting it with a knife, freezing and burying it deep underground, and even having it washed by sea water. Things that would most likely destroy any other smartphone you have right now.
There is a drawback for the video, though. It's in Russian, so unless you speak the language you won't understand what the guys are saying, but seeing the device getting such treatment, most likely you won't need it as the main content of the video lies in the actual footage.
One more thing you should know. If you're feeling inspired by this video and plan on trying this on your own N8 (which is a bad idea to begin with), at least skip the water part. The fact that the N8 survived in the video was sheer luck, as its design is not waterproof - you're not guaranteed to get the same results if you make it swim in the bath tub.
Quite impressed with what the N8 is capable of. That's definitely nothing short of ... tough.
