Sure you’ll seriously need to think about things if you’re in the market of choosing one of Verizon’s new 4G LTE capable devices, but if you happen to live in an area with no 4G LTE coverage just yet, then you pretty much can kiss those devices goodbye.
Thankfully though, Big Red announced today that 9 new markets are going to be graced with 4G LTE coverage – these include Mobile & Montgomery, Alabama; Greater Fairfield & New Haven, Connecticut; Gainesville Pensacola & Tallahassee Florida; Fayetteville-Lumberton, North Carolina; and Bryan-College Station & Temple-Killeen, Texas. No doubt customers located in those markets are surely going to appreciate the availability of next-generation data speeds, but they’ll truly adore the speeds they’ll see with devices like the HTC ThunderBolt and Samsung Droid Charge.
Of course it’s wonderful news to many Verizon Wireless customers, but that’s not all because Big Red is expanding its footprint in 5 existing markets, which include places like Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, New Orleans, and Philadelphia. Therefore, if your friends across town have been enjoying the peppy new network for a bit, while you’re sitting back with last-gen speeds, then you’ll gladly accept this expansion, which might finally hit your area.
