Well, it’s the honest truth because George Mason University student, Kevin Lee, is living proof of how those special skills can translate to a healthy career. The currently enrolled senior actually started off jailbreaking iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch devices for friends and family members, but it soon blossomed to something utterly more than what people would fathom.
In fact, he managed to take advantage of his jailbreaking skills and turned it into a lucrative business that has grown tremendously. At first, he was getting 5 to 10 customers a week, but now it’s moving steadily at around 30 to 40 – which goes to show the kind of demand for such services.
As it stands right now, he’s getting a bulk of business with the aid of Craigslist, but it’ll be interesting to see if he’ll eventually increase his operations to handle more workload. For a college student, making a solid $50,000 per year isn’t too shabby at all – especially when he’s doing something that he enjoys.
