RIM finally gives the green light to its BlackBerry Trade-up program in Canada

RIM finally gives the green light to its BlackBerry Trade-up program in Canada
RIM initially launched its BlackBerry Trade-up program in the US back in February, but some were wondering when it would become available in its native country of Canada.

Well, the time is finally here because RIM just gave the green lights to its popular trade-in service in Canada – meaning, you can part ways with your old handset and receive credit for the purchase of a new one. However, this Trade-up program is only limited to a select few BlackBerry devices and does not accept any others. In fact, you’ll only be able to trade devices like the BlackBerry Pearl, Curve, Bold, Storm, Tour, 8700, and 8800 Series devices for a credit worth up to $120.

Of course, its condition mainly hinges on how much you’ll get back for your device, but then again, it still might be better than simply letting dust collect on it in the basement. So if you’re a Canadian BlackBerry user who is potentially eying any future BlackBerry handset, this might be one way of slowly getting to your goal.
