AT&T introduces its new GoPhone data plans

AT&T introduces its new GoPhone data plans
Chiming in on the special occasion that AT&T has finally brought aboard its version of the LG Optimus One to its prepaid lineup, the LG Thrive, we’re now seeing some new updates to its GoPhone data packages.

Seeing that the LG Thrive is a data consuming handset, AT&T suggests that its new $25 per month GoPhone data plan would go nicely with it since it provides 500MB of data per month. However, if you plan on consuming a considerably smaller amount, you’ll have the option to pick between their $5/month 10MB plan or $15/month 100MB offering. Granted that some might easily consider those amounts to be paltry, it should appease those customers who tend to rely on voice usage than anything else.

Additionally, the new plans will also provide customers access to AT&T’s vast network of Wi-Fi hotspots. Moreover, the new data packages are paired with either their $2/day unlimited talk & text plan or $0.10/minute voice plan. Finally, AT&T has surprisingly reduced its data overage fees from $0.01/Kb to $0.01/5Kb.
