In fact, the HTC Wildfire S just recently received its FCC approval, but more importantly, it’s a version that supports AT&T’s 850 and 1900MHz bands. Obviously, one of the surprising things about the handset is the fact that it’s still one of the few devices to run Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box. However, it’s still unknown whether or not this is a model specifically bound for AT&T – or potentially the other host of similarly compatible Canadian carriers.
Regardless of that, we’re sure that AT&T customers are itching to see something in the entry-level category from HTC’s camp aside from the less desired HTC Freestyle feature phone.
