In November last year, Verizon was spotted to be preparing yet another exclusive promo aimed at Microsoft employees. This time, Big Red was planning to offer them the HTC 7 Trophy for $199 upon its release as long as they renewed their contracts with the carrier by the end of 2010. Well, something must have gone wrong at that time because the HTC 7 Trophy never made it to Verizon's lineup. However, we now have a reason to believe that Verizon is getting ready to launch the HTC 7 Trophy pretty soon, and Microsoft employees will still have the chance to benefit from that after all.
According to a leaked splash page from Verizon's website, which was kindly provided to us by an anonymous tipster, Microsoft employees who purchase the upcoming CDMA version of the HTC 7 Trophy by April 1 will have their money completely reimbursed by the company. Moreover, Verizon is expected to give $100 bill credit per line to those Microsoft employees who also choose to renew their existing 2-year contracts with the carrier.
The HTC 7 Trophy is expected to launch for Verizon on March 24 and it is going to support global roaming. It may not be as powerful as the top of the line Android superphones, but at such a price we doubt anyone would be complaining.
Thanks, anonymous tipster!
