In continuation to the trend of smartphones surviving after being mistreated, we present you a story of a smartphone, which got brought back to life right after spending 45 minutes of “baking” inside of an oven. Inspired by the story of the iPhone 4, which survived after falling to the ground after unintentionally being dropped off from a plane, The Consumerist reader Jim decided to share the tale of his wife and her resilient Palm Pixi.
She immediately grabbed the phone and when it had cooled enough, she removed the battery, which was distorted by the heat. Figuring she had nothing to lose, she placed a spare battery into the phone. It immediately came to life and has not given her a problem since.
We strongly suggest you to restrain yourself from treating your gadgets to anything similar to the story above, but if you have already cooked your smartphone in the past, either by accident or on purpose, feel free to share the results with us by posting a comment below.
