BOLT Browser is enhanced with local search results provided by xAD

Continuing to be regarded as one of the more favorable web browsers available for BlackBerry smartphones, the BOLT Browser is receiving some location based abilities in the form of local search results.

Thanks to Bitstream’s partnership with xAD, users of the BOLT Browser will now be able to get relevant local search results by using the browser’s very own built-in search bar which is powered by xAD. Not something unusual in this day in age, it’ll obviously get you results based on your current location – which is great in taking out the hassle from manually having to search things for yourself. Right now, the local search function is now being rolled out to users in the US initially, but it’s expected to branch out to other markets in the very near future – such as German, UK, and France,

Naturally, there’s a good majority of BlackBerry owners who will be thrilled about the news, but you also can’t forget the many others out there who installed the app to their Java-based phones.
