Bangalore, March 5: It seems the Little Master Sachin Tendulkar has become picky over his accolades. The Indian batting maestro has reportedly turned down the honorary doctorate to be conferred on him by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS).
As it happens, the University of Mysore had also chosen to honour the cricketer this year, but is yet to intimate him about their plans.
Tendulkar supposedly told the concerned authorities that he wasn't inclined to accept the varsity honour as he was still active in professional cricket. He added that he had rejected a similar honour from other universities abroad and respected the decision of the university to confer the title on him.The university is now awaiting an official regret letter from him, which will be forwarded to chancellor of the university - Governor H R Bharadwaj.
