Now ZTE might not be the first name to come up when speaking about designer phones but the company has collaborated with Fashion TV to change its image and here’s what the end-product looks like: the ZTE FTV Phone. It’s a version of the ZTE Blade also known as the Orange San Francisco, but except for weird looks it has little to offer in terms of both hardware and software.
The FTV Phone is a 3.5-inch device with a WVGA AMOLED display and a humble 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 chip with Adreno 200 graphics. It runs on the dated Android 2.2 Froyo with no word about when can we expect it to get updated to Gingerbread. Now, if that’s paired with a reasonable price tag it could be overlooked, even though other phone makers are now releasing their budget devices at least on Gingerbread.
The looks though are what truly makes this phone stand out. You can instantly tell it’s made by Fashion TV by the logos on the back. The handset comes in three versions - a black, gold and white ones. Preloaded are also some Fashion TV-related apps, wallpapers and widgets. The device should be out soon with an affordable price tag, so how do you like it?
