Nokia's Marketing Manager Jussi Mäkinen demonstrated first-hand all the swiping going on in this innovative smartphone UI on the newly announced Nokia N9.
The buttonless phone (at least in the front) needs just two taps to unlock the screen, and is full to the gills with gesture-based navigation. Alas, there doesn't seem to be full Adobe Flash support in the browser for now.
MeeGo 1.2 "Harmattan" is what's allowing all this to happen, plus multitasking seems to be taken to the next level; you can pinch to show either 4 or 9 of your active app icons, and, overall, there are some neat little tricks that we haven't seen anywhere yet. Needless to say, the Nokia N9 is coming equipped with that NFC-enabled Angry Birds Magic time-waster.
