Samsung might be determine not to repeat the Android update fiasco that was the Galaxy S line last year. After already releasing a firmware update for the Samsung Galaxy S II via Kies, that fixed the faulty automatic brightness adjustment software, it is apparently preparing another one.
Leaked on Samfirmware, where these things tend to appear first, are updates for both the Samsung Galaxy S II, and the Samsung Omnia 7. These are manufacturer's builds, but not yet officially announced by Samsung, so if you plan on trying them, your warranty will most likely be scrapped - it's worth waiting for the official word from Sammy.
Still, the leaks tell us what's in store with both firmware updates. The 2424.11.3.1 for the Omnia 7 is with the NoDo update inside, but also improves on data speeds both in 3G and Wi-Fi modes, and disables the capacitive buttons while you are touching the screen.
The I9100XWKE7 XEUKD1 XXKE4 firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S II introduces better power management for battery life enhancement, increases GPS accuracy, removes some pink spots seen here and there on photos, and increases a bit the amount of free RAM. Whatever makes an excellent handset even better, is fine with us.
