Google and Twitter celebrate royal wedding

Global search engine Google is celebrating the wedding of William and Kate with a Google Doodle depicting the royal carriage in a shower of confetti and London landmarks.

The street scene shows Westminster Abbey, the London Eye and a castle.

Microblogging site Twitter also celebrated in it's own way, with Tweets topping 200 per second

According to a tweet on the Independent, the frequency of #royalwedding tweets was 237 tweets per second.

William and Kate are now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, after a lavish ceremony in Westminster Abbey.
