Carphone Warehouse exorbitantly prices the LG Optimus Pad at £799

Both Japanese and US consumers have the privilege right now to experience the 3D video recording abilities of the LG Optimus Pad (T-Mobile G-Slate), while the rest of the world is still patiently waiting for their turn at it.

Fortunately though, it seems that the UK is the next stop on the list as Carphone Warehouse currently holds in possession stock of the prized tablet – though, it’s still uncertain whether they’ll actually ship one right away if you happen to place an order right now. Interestingly enough, Carphone Warehouse prices the SIM-free tablet at the exorbitant price of £799 ($1,330). At that level, it might literally keep people at bay since it’s priced even higher than the iPad.

Nevertheless, we’d imagine that’s the premium that you’ll have to endure in order to be an early adopter of this Android 3.0 Honeycomb powered device.
