Google doodle celebrates Charlie Chaplin's birthday

Google is celebrating Charlie Chaplin's 122nd birthday, one day in advance, with a Google Doodle in video format, that stars a lookalike of The Little Tramp in a Google-themed act very similar to original Charlie Chaplin shorts.

Charlie Chaplin, who's birthday is April 16, is not the first celebrity to have received a video Google Doodle. That honour belongs to John Lennon who's 70th birthday celebration included an animation accompanied by Lennon's song, "Imagine"

Google Doodles were started in 1998 by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin who changed the logo to indicate that they were attending the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert. Since then, Google has made it a tradition to celebrate festivals, important dates and celebrity birthdays with a Google Doodle

Among doodles of note, a playable Pac-Man game celebrates the 30th anniversary of the game.

So go ahead, click on the doodle and enjoy Google's tribute to Charlie Chaplin. Or watch the video below!
