Dell Streak 7 Unboxing

Although it might be overlooked due to the sheer presence of some other highly prized Android powered tablets coming to the market in the near future, it’s nearly impossible to miss the Dell Streak 7 since it sports an affordable no-contract price of only $450.

Getting a brief tasting of the Dell Streak 7 back at CES in January, we’re finally getting a little bit more intimate with Dell’s latest Streak device. Included with the packaging are the customary set of materials – such as a USB cable, wall charger, stereo headphones, and the usual set of documentation. However, don’t let this portable 7” tablet fool you because it’s packing a wallop underneath its chassis. Specifically, it features a 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash, and  HSPA+ connectivity.

As for the design of the Dell Streak 7, it unequivocally mirrors the style of its distant sibling – the Dell Streak 5. Surprisingly, there’s a fair amount of hefty weight with this all plastic tablet, but it still nonetheless feels quite sturdy all around. Meanwhile, it’s running Dell’s customized Stage UI which presents a boatload of useful widgets that take up the entire space of a homescreen.
