Just the other day, we reported about the problem that some owners of the Verizon version of the Apple iPad 2 were having getting a 3G connection to Verizon's network. The problem was reported on Apple's discussion forum where over 80 replies discussed the problem. All of the complaining apparently has reached the ears of those at Cupertino responsible for fixing the problem. A spokesman for Apple told
All Things Digital, "We are aware that a small number of iPad 2 customers have experienced connectivity issues with the Verizon 3G network and we are investigating it. "No problems with connectivity have been reported with the AT&T model of the tablet.
The best news for those Verizon customers having problems connecting to Big Red's 3G pipeline with the iPad 2 would be if the connection failure is due to the device's OS. That is because an upgrade to 4.3.2 is expected in the next few weeks. Along with fixing some bugs and some security issues, the upgrade could solve the connectivity problem.
