Shipping times for the Apple iPad 2 are getting longer

Early Friday morning, Apple's web site showed that those placing initial orders for the Apple iPad 2 would have the tablet shipped Saturday for a March 17th delivery-just 2 to 3 days in transit. But with the heavy demand for the tablet came longer delivery times and by later Friday morning, those ordering the iPad 2 were seeing a 2 to 3 week shipping time on their order.

As business continued to be heavy on Saturday, the shipping date became longer, reaching a 3 to 4 week period with many orders placed Saturday evening now expected to arrive in 1 month. Obviously, hesitation in ordering has really made a big difference and with many stores sold out of their initial inventory, getting your hands on the Apple iPad 2 is going to require some patience, especially if you're just ordering it now!
