Even as Nokia’s N9 is on its way (probably), Nokia has revealed details about its upcoming model N950. The Nokia N950 model will come on MeeGo OS this year.
Nokia’s CTO, Rich Green, was quoted as saying at a developer’s conference that Nokia N950, which is also the successor of N900 model, would have interesting user interface design and elegant hardware.
“It's your option as to how you want to treat that device. But as a developer platform, the ability on a Qt/QML/Linux platform to do some very interesting things will be there -- and um, we'll see how that goes,” Green was quoted as saying.
MeeGo is an open source operating system just like android. MeeGo is developed targeting mobile devices like smartphones, tablets, infotainment devices on vehicles and other communication devices.
No other details of Nokia N950 models were disclosed by the company. Before this, there were strong rumors of MeeGo coming on Nokia’s N9 model. We hope Nokia’s N950 will not disappoint us like its N9 model.
