Pakistan destroy Kenya, win by 205 runs

Kenay was bowled out for 112
Pakistan made short work of defending their total of 317/7, by bundling out Kenya for 112 in 33.1 overs, thus winning the match by a staggering 205 runs. Leg-spinner Shahid Afridi had the Kenyan batting line-up running for cover as he took 5/16.

Despite chasing a huge total, Kenya got off to a positive start. Serene Waters hit the first four of the Kenyan innings in the second over off Abdul Razzaq before Maurice Ouma did the same off Shoaib Akhtar in the 5th over as Kenya climed to 25/0 in 5 overs. But soon after Waters struck one more four, he was run out for 17. Kenya were 37/1 in 9.1 overs.

Kenya's scoring rate dropped dramatically in the next few overs and in the 13th over, Ouma was caught behind off Umar Gul for 16 as Kenya slipped to 48/2 in 12.2 overs. Collins Obuya and Steve Tikolo took Kenya past 50 but the run rate continued to be very sluggish.

In the 23rd over, with the score at 73/2, a struggling Tikolo tried to heave Afridi down the ground only to get bowled for 13 off 33 balls. With that wicket, Pakistan had triggered a collapse of sorts as Hafeez then got Rakep Patel caught by Umar Gul at backward shot leg for 0 and then captain Jimmy Kamade followed him back to the hut when he was trapped in front by Afridi for 2. Kenya were reeling at 85/6 in 28.3 overs.

Thomas Odoyo was the next to go, also for a duck, and also to Afridi who got him lbw.Obuya tried to offset the ever-mounting pressure with a couple of desperate blows, but in the 32nd over Afridi had him caught at deep midwicket for 47 and just 4 four balls later, Odhiambo was run out for a duck.

The match was over in the first ball of the 34th over, when Gul bowled Ngoche for a duck as well. Pakistan had bowled out Kenya for a paltry 112.
